Thank you for choosing my service. My goal is to make your feathered and/or furry family member(s) as comfortable and as happy as possible while you are away.

I hope that you enjoy having your pet(s) pampered by Critter's Pet Sitting. If your experience is satisfactory please feel free to refer us to your friends and neighbors.

The following is a list of some of our policies. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Your comfort is our goal!
  1. You may call Critters Pet Sitting anytime to check on your pet.
  2. Please remember to call upon your return from your trip. Otherwise, I will need to continue visiting to assure the safety and well-being of your pet. Additional trips will be added to your bill. Please call at ANY hour and leave a voice message that you have returned.

    Early Return Home. In the event CLIENT returns home prior to the End Date, CLIENT agrees to notify PET SITTER immediately to avoid being charged for unnecessary visit(s).
  3. Critter's Pet Sitting will allow for you to have friends and/or family to come in to visit your pet(s) but I am not responsible for any damages incurred to your home or pet by said visitor. PLEASE notify me if there will be anyone else having access to your home. Client hereby agrees to telephone Pet Sitter immediately upon his/her/their return to Client's Property.

    Indemnification. PET SITTER shall not be liable to CLIENT for any act or omission by any third party, including but not limited to, neighbors, friends, family, housekeepers, alarm companies, utility persons, telephone persons, painters, plumbers, whether known or unknown, having access to a key to CLIENT'S PROPERTY or alarm code enabling access onto CLIENT'S PROPERTY, or any other means of gaining access or entrance, who is not a party to this CONTRACT, CLIENT hereby waives and releases PET SITTER from any and all claims, actions, suits, causes of action, obligations and demands, known and unknown, for any damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses of any character, nature, and kind whatsoever, including but not limited to, reasonable attorney's fees arising from any act or omission caused thereof. If CLIENT elects to authorize access or entrance onto CLIENT'S PROPERTY to anyone expressly or impliedly, except for PET SITTER and her employees, agents, heirs and assigns, CLIENT does so at his/her/their own risk.
  4. If the Balance Due is not received on or by the Balance Due Date, such nonpayment shall constitute default. PET SITTER may take any and all appropriate steps to remedy the DEFAULT including but not limited to terminating or suspending the CONTRACT. CLIENT shall be liable for all collection costs, including reasonable attorney's fees incurred by PET SITTER seeking to remedy DEFAULT.
  5. There will be a $10.00 delivery fee if pet sitter needs to pick up supplies for your pet. Please remember to leave adequate (or more!) food, litter, leash etc. for your pets needs.
  6. RETURN CHECK CHARGE- Client agrees to pay a $20 fee for each check returned by the clients bank regardless of the reason.
  7. KEY PICK-UP AND RETURN POLICY- Critters Pet Sitting will retain a key at the time of contract signing. Your key will be returned within 10 days of the end of contract period for the first Pet Sitting Contract at your request. It is suggested that the client allow Critter's Pet Sitting to retain a key on file for future Pet Sitting needs. Critter's Pet Sitting agrees to keep your key locked in a safe place with only secret coded identification to you and your address.
  8. Interest shall accrue at the prevailing federal rate on a daily basis starting from the Balance Due Date for the Balance Due.
  9. Holiday Surcharge. A holiday surcharge of $ 3.00 may be charged per visit falling on national holidays, including but not limited to, New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Eve.
  10. Locksmith Surcharge. In the event PET SITTER is required to employ a locksmith to gain entry into CLIENT'S PROPERTY, through no fault or negligence by PET SITTER, CLIENT agrees to reimburse PET SITTER for all costs incurred.
  11. Alarm Company Notice. CLIENT agrees to notify alarm company of PET SITTER'S presence in and around CLIENT'S PROPERTY.
  12. Discounts. A free visit of 30 minutes will be applied if a booking is made by someone referred by you to Critters Pet Sitting.
  13. Emergency Contact. Your emergency contact person should be someone who can make decisions on your behalf in case of an emergency, including but not limited to, water pipe breakage, flooding, sprinkler system problems, and electrical problems. The emergency contact person should live as close to CLIENT'S PROPERTY as possible.
  14. Emergency Care. PET SITTER is expressly authorized pursuant to the VETERINARY RELEASE to seek emergency care and treatment whenever PET SITTER deems appropriate or necessary. CLIENT agrees to release PET SITTER of all liabilities related to transportation, treatment and expense arising under emergency circumstances. CLIENT agrees to reimburse PET SITTER for any emergency-related expenses incurred, plus any additional fees caused by emergency conditions.
    1. Change of Veterinarian. CLIENT expressly agrees to notify PET SITTER immediately if CLIENT changes veterinarians.
    2. Vaccinations. CLIENT expressly acknowledges that all pet(s) vaccinations are current or shall become current by the START DATE.
  15. Pet Sitter Injury Caused by Pets. In the event PET SITTER or a third party ("VICTIM") is bit or otherwise exposed to any disease or ailment received from CLIENT'S pet(s) which have not been properly and currently vaccinated, it will be the CLIENT'S responsibility to pay all medically related costs and damages incurred by VICTIM.
  16. Pet Sitter Illness or Personal Emergency. In the event of personal emergency or illness of PET SITTER, CLIENT authorizes PET SITTER to arrange for another qualified pet sitter to fulfill responsibilities as set forth in this CONTRACT.
  17. Special Circumstances. CLIENT agrees to release PET SITTER from any and all harm caused by the following:
    1. Inclement Weather or Natural Disaster. PET SITTER is entrusted to use her best judgment under the circumstances in caring for CLIENT'S pet(s) and CLIENT'S PROPERTY under such conditions. PET SITTER shall be held harmless for consequences resulting from these decisions.
  18. Representations & Disclosure. CLIENT understands and acknowledges that he/she/they are responsible for any harm caused by their pet(s) while in the care of PET SITTER. CLIENT understands and agrees that by leaving his/her/their pet(s) in PET SITTER'S care that PET SITTER has relied on CLIENT'S representations that his/her/their pet(s) has/have been vaccinated and is/are in good health. CLIENT further acknowledges that any history or tendency by his/her/their pet(s) towards straying, flight, biting, destructive behavior, or property damage has been fully disclosed to PET SITTER.
  19. CLIENT ACCEPTS FULL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE(S) CAUSED BY PET(S). CLIENT understands and assumes full financial responsibility for any and all expenses incurred resulting for any damage, including but not limited to property damage, done or caused by CLIENT'S pet(s). CLIENT expressly assumes the risk of any damage or injury suffered by his/her/their pet(s), resulting from actions of any pet(s).
    1. Dangerous Pet(s). PET SITTER reserves the right to terminate service at any time before or during performance of CONTRACT terms if PET SITTER, in her sole discretion, determines CLIENT'S pet(s) pose a danger to the health or safety of PET SITTER. If concerns prohibit PET SITTER from caring for such pet(s), CLIENT authorizes pet(s) to be placed in a kennel, with all charges there from to be charged to CLIENT. If this occurs, CLIENT shall be notified immediately.
  20. Release from Liability. PET SITTER shall perform all services agreed upon in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, CLIENT expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against PET SITTER except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the PET SITTER.
  21. Attorney's Fees. The prevailing party in any action or proceeding reasonably brought to enforce the terms of this CONTRACT shall be entitled to reimbursement from the non-prevailing party for all reasonable costs, expenses, and attorney's fees incurred in connection with such action or proceeding.
  22. General Provision. The persons executing this CONTRACT represent and warrant that they have read and fully understand the terms and conditions of this CONTRACT and have full authority to execute this CONTRACT and to bind the party on whose behalf they sign. PET SITTER and CLIENT agree that this CONTRACT fully incorporates the agreements and understandings of all parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, incorporating by reference those services and items listed in the HOME AND PET CARE AGREEMENT. All prior negotiations, drafts, and other intrinsic communications between the parties shall have no evidentiary effect whatsoever. No arrangement or understanding entered into between PET SITTER and CLIENT shall be valid unless it is in writing and executed by all parties. If any provision of this CONTRACT is invalidated by a court, the invalid provision is severable with the remaining provisions given full force and effect.
  23. Disclaimers. PET SITTER shall not be responsible for:
    1. Damage to carpets, rugs, floors, plants, or lawns caused by the CLIENT'S pet(s) urinating, spraying, or defecating on same. Every reasonable effort will be made to clean up messes caused by CLIENT'S pet(s) that are found by the PET SITTER with cleaning materials made available by the CLIENT.
    2. Sickness, injury, loss or death of the CLIENT'S pet(s) through non-negligence of the PET SITTER. PET SITTER will follow the directions of the VETERINARIAN RELEASE FORM for pets that become sick or injured. The maximum monetary liability that PET SITTER will assume for the loss of a pet shall be limited to the replacement value of the pet as directed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
    3. The condition or security of fences, doors, gates, and other areas that pets are confined to. CLIENTS should insure that confinement area is secure and safe for pet(s). PET SITTER will make every effort to locate lost or missing pet(s).
    4. Plants, trees and lawns that wilt, brown or die due to conditions beyond the directions supplied by the client. Watering plants will be accomplished only in a manner as CLIENT has directed.
  24. License & Insurance. PET SITTER is licensed and insured in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
  25. Effective Date. This CONTRACT shall become effective and its terms shall inure to and bind PET SITTER and CLIENT on the date such CONTRACT is signed.
  26. Refunds & Cancellations
    Holidays - Payment in full is charged (no refunds)
    0-48 hours- Payment in full is charged (no refunds)
    2-7 days - 20% of service total is due (80% refund)
    8+ days - No charge, refund in full
In consideration of and inducement to the acceptance for specific services, I hereby agree to indemnify Critters Pet Sitting, Jennifer Christenson for any and all claims by any member of my family or any other person as a result of any action by my pet(s).
